The Institute of Trichologists (IoT) is delighted to announce that after receiving its first awarding body inspection, the Institute’s pioneering education programme has been graded outstanding for each of the following categories;
– Management systems
– Resources
– Assessment
– Internal Quality Assurance
The IoT was the first trichology education provider in the UK to gain accreditation with an awarding body at Level 5, (Diploma in Clinical Trichology) customised qualification. Delivering trichology education for over 100 years, the Institute has produced an impressive membership portfolio of industry professionals from across the world. Our qualification has been developed to meet the specific needs of our learners and has been accredited by NCFE demonstrating the quality and rigor.*
Achieving course approval from NCFE has elevated the Institute’s training course to a new level as graduating students will be recognised not just by the Institute but also by this prestigious awarding body. This recognition promises to create more opportunities to widen IOT membership and for members to work collaboratively with other trade bodies such as the British Association of Dermatologists and the British Hair and Nail Society.
During the recent ‘inspection’, students who were interviewed as part of the visit spoke highly of the course, tutors, learning materials and their future career aspirations. No ‘actions’ or ‘recommendations’ were received and overall the External Verifier was extremely impressed.
